What is a private reading?
Does it guarantee communication?

I have included this because for many people who come to my public performances this is their first 'taste' of mediumship. Some have heard of 'private readings', 'one to ones' or sittings, but are not sure about them or what takes place.

A private consultation is exactly how it sounds. An appointment is made with a medium and you go to the appointed place at a time convenient to you both. The length of time varies, but a medium will normally tell you how long this takes, and most mediums make a charge for this service. During these readings you may take notes, or record your session. People often find this advantageous because not everyone is able to clearly retain the information being passed the first time of hearing it.

Because you have booked an appointment and probably sent out a little prayer to your loved one(s) and the medium has prepared themselves for the reading properly, normally there will be communication. Sometimes the main communicator may not be the one you were expecting or hoping for but this can often be more revealing.

A medium's job is to pass on as accurately as possible all the information they receive, and they will do this to the best of their ability. I explain that sometimes in a reading it may be compared to holding a dinner party. There are several people there but one is more dominant or noisy than others and this can be quite a difficult job for the medium to disseminate the information. Remember also that if it is the first time of a particular loved one communicating this can be quite exciting and joyous for them too.
